Discover God’s purpose and overcome fear through Christian mentoring and prayer guidance with Planting Seedz

About Us

Before embarking on her journey as a mental health professional, Linda worked overseas as a contractor for Loral Aerospace (U.S. military) in addition to teaching in public and private schools. Throughout her life, she felt a yearning for something deeper beyond the confines of traditional church experiences. Raised Episcopalian, Linda sought a more profound connection with God than what standard church services could provide. This spiritual quest led her to a non-denominational church in Colorado Springs, where she encountered a transformative relationship with Jesus and was filled with the Holy Spirit. Now rooted deeply in her faith, Linda is passionate in guiding other Christians on their journeys to achieve that same enriching spiritual connection. Although Linda still has her clinical mental health private-practice in Georgia, Planting Seedz focuses on Christian mentoring throughout the United States.

Linda Banik graduated from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, earning her master's degree in counseling psychology. As a Board-Certified Licensed Counselor and former Clinical Director and Forensic Interviewer at Anna Crawford Children's Center, Linda has worked with individuals to help navigate through challenges such as trauma, anxiety, abuse and OCD within her clinical practice. Her extensive background working in conjunction with Law Enforcement, Department of Family and Children Services and the DA's office (testifying in hundreds of court cases), Linda brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to helping others. In efforts to spend more time with her family, Linda left the Children's Center in 2014 to begin her current private practice and now, PlantingSeedz.

A Note from the Founder of Planting Seedz

Hello!

I'm Linda Banik, the founder of Planting Seedz, and I'm on a mission....

Throughout my career as a licensed clinical therapist, I've witnessed countless souls engaged in spiritual battles, often unaware of its existence, its significance or knowledge of how to fight it. With over 20 years of experience providing therapy, I've seen a need for healing that goes beyond traditional therapy tools. You see in my clinical practice, I can provide therapeutic tools and cognitive restructuring techniques, but as a clinician restricted to health insurance treatment protocols, I am quite limited in highlighting spiritual battles and generational strongholds (especially when insurance is paying for a session).

People are yearning for deeper understanding and connection. Many grapple with fear, sadness, trauma, pain and suffering, yet they often seek fulfillment in careers or superficial pursuits or turn to detrimental ways to cope. Many sense there MUST be more to life than their current unfulfilled circumstances or, they are living in fear. While many have a belief in God, few grasp the true essence of a relationship with Him. Confusion surrounding the Bible often leads to misunderstandings, leaving people yearning for clarity and purpose. Many churches read scripture during Sunday services, yet often overlook the vital role of teaching what role the Holy Spirit has in our lives. While they may share biblical passages, the teachings frequently stop short of explaining how to truly experience joy, discernment or the many other fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Scripture clearly states that these gifts are essential for fulfilling God's purpose in our lives.

As a Christian therapist, I recognize the profound importance to teach the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the true power of prayer and standing on God's word during times of spiritual warfare. Planting Seedz allows me to do this by moving away from clinical mental health treatment to Christian coaching. This move allows me more flexibility in guiding individuals in forming a genuine relationship with God and help them uncover their divine purpose. In this way, I can 'plant seeds' of faith and understanding, fostering spiritual growth that can flourish in their lives. My mission is to cultivate these seeds, allowing individuals to experience the transformative power of walking with God.

At Planting Seedz, we aim to guide individuals toward profound insights and a deeper relationship with God, helping them cultivate a fulfilling life grounded in His word. Our passion is to help individuals grasp the essence of prayer—not merely reciting words from a prayer book—but engaging in a genuine dialogue with God. We strive to teach what God desires from us, guiding others to live victoriously and embrace the life He intends for them. Through this, we hope to teach a deeper understanding of how to foster faith and empower people to experience the power of the Holy Spirit.

Many have asked the significance of my business name 'Planting Seedz'. Some have asked why I venture into coaching/mentoring when I already have a successful clinical mental health practice. 'Planting Seedz' encapsulates the essence of my approach to mentoring and spiritual growth focusing on nurturing the spiritual seeds within each individual. I've never been fond of evangelists who attempt to preach the entire gospel to an unsaved person in one encounter. God has always put in my heart to plant seeds....spiritual ones.

Together, let's explore the deeper meanings of existence and foster genuine connections between ourselves and Jesus.
